INFO-RIGHTS Project

EXPERT WORKING MEETING

11-12.04.2024 – Malaga, Spain

During two days of meetings, the INFO-RIGHTS project partners advanced key aspects of its first phase, focusing on the creation of 30 vlogs and the development of a chatbot. Discussions centered on EU legislation regarding the posting of workers, particularly Directive 2018/957, addressing challenges related to third-country nationals, visa regulations, and distinctions between different worker statuses.

The vlogs will provide didactic content on legal aspects, remuneration, and living and working conditions for posted workers, migrants, and employers, ensuring applicability across EU Member States.

The chatbot aims to offer clear, accessible information on posting regulations, with emphasis on the agricultural and manufacturing sectors. Key topics include national employment conditions, social security access, legal discrepancies, and oversight of Temporary Work Agencies. Participants outlined essential steps for chatbot development, such as analyzing national websites, addressing regulatory barriers, and refining content through testing.

A follow-up online meeting was scheduled to further examine these issues and refine the chatbot’s content to ensure comprehensive and effective guidance for workers and employers.
